Adults in Kempsville, Salem, Fairfield, Indian Lakes, and nearby 23464 can study Okinawan Shorin-ryu karate at CoVA Karate. This guide outlines what classes cover and gives the actual address and weekly schedule so you can decide whether the trip and class times work for you.
Students work on foundational movement, footwork, balance, coordination, and kata. Instructors give corrections as students repeat material; partner practice adds timing, distance, and attention to another person’s movement. Beginners can start with fundamentals and build familiarity over time.
CoVA Karate teaches traditional Okinawan Shorin-ryu. Classes connect basic techniques and kata with movement principles and partner application. Progress comes through regular attendance, practice, and feedback, rather than through a promise of a particular result or a fixed timeline.
